Crazy kitty = regular kitty.

Cat owners will tell you about those moments when cats suddenly will have incredible bursts of energy. It manifests itself in different ways depending upon the cat; a sudden dash across the room for no explainable reason, a sharpening of claws real or pretend. Usually cats’ pupils will be opened wide and they will have this look about their faces of surprise and earnestness.

Anna is no different, there are times she will come nosing around and if I make any move she will be off like a shot. There is an almost cartoon-like quality as you hear the scratching of nails as she tries to build up speed before running the length of the house.

I know the secret now though.

See, whenever one of these moments strikes her I know it’s time to check the litter box.

These bursts of energy, these moments of extreme playfulness, are all in celebration of kitty suddenly feeling ‘lighter.’ In other words, kitty is celebrating the occasion of a good dump.
